City Elections

The City Secretary serves as the Chief Election Official for the City of Marble Falls. City Elections are conducted in accordance with the Texas Election Code. The regular City Election is held annually on the second Saturday in May as required by the Texas Election Code. All municipal elections are publicized in accordance with the Texas Election Code.

The City of Marble Falls is a Home Rule city with a Council-Manager form of government.  The City Council consists of a Mayor and six Councilmembers who are elected at-large by majority vote of the qualified voters of the City.  Each member serves a staggered two-year term.  Thus, three of the members are voted on one year, with the remaining members, including the Mayor, elected the following year.  Term limits are in place, which means the Mayor and Councilmembers may serve for a maximum of six years, or three consecutive terms.
