Licenses and Permits

Alarm License: Any individual (business or resident) who installs an alarm system within the City limits of Marble Falls must obtain an alarm license through the Marble Falls Police Department. The cost for a commercial alarm license is $20 annually and the cost for a residential alarm license is $10 annually. Alcohol License/Permit:
Business and Restaurants Owners - Any business or restaurant owner who manufactures, sells, distributes or stores alcoholic beverages, or engages in any other activity with relation to the same must obtain a City license through the Marble Falls Police Department. The fee for this license is equal to one-half (1/2) the permit or license feel charged by the State under the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code (T.A.B.C.). You must provide a current copy of your T.A.B.C. license to obtain your City license. City Parks - A permit must be obtained to consume and/or sell alcoholic beverages of any kind in any City park. Individuals must provide a copy of their reservation permit/license agreement for use of the park in order to obtain an alcohol permit. Consumption Permits are $25.00 and Sales Permits are $100.00. Permits are issued by the Marble Falls Parks Department (830) 798-6250 or pard@ci.marble-falls.tx.us.

Lakeside Pavilion - If an alcohol consumption and/or sales permit is requested, the requestor must first obtain security before an alcohol permit can be issued. The cost for security is $35 per hour per officer and is determined by the number of people attending as follows:

2 to 99 people attending - One (1) Officer
100 or more people attending - Two (2) Officers

Animal Licensing: All dogs and cats that are owned and kept within the City limits of Marble Falls are required to be licensed through the Marble Falls Police Department. To license your pet, please contact Animal Control at (830) 693-3611. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required in order to obtain a City license. View Ordinance.

Carnival Permit: To operate a carnival in the City of Marble Falls you must obtain a permit. The permit fee is $25.00 per day of proposed operation. Click here for permit application requirements. View Ordinance.

Garage Sale Permit: To conduct a garage sale in the City limits a permit must be obtained. A permit shall be issued only twice within a twelve-month period and the permit shall be for no more than four (4) consecutive calendar days. The permit must be displayed on the premises upon which the garage sale is conducted throughout the entire period of the permitted sale. There is no fee for the permit. View Ordinance.

Handbill Permit: A permit is required for the distribution of handbills, posters, advertisements, pamphlets and circulars. Commercial Applicants - $75.00. Nonprofit Organizations - $10.00. Individuals (for noncommercial purposes) - $35.00. There is no fee for individuals and organizations distributing noncommercial handbills which contain political, religious, or public policy information. Kennel License: Any person or group engaged in the commercial business of breeding, buying, selling, or boarding nay animal or animals, excluding any person who is a passive or occasional breeder of not more than one (1) litter per calendar year must obtain a Commercial Kennel License through the Marble Falls Police Department. Peddler/Solicitor/Vendor Permit: Peddlers, Solicitors and Vendors soliciting or engaging in business within the City limits must obtain a permit from the City. Click here for permit application requirements. View Ordinance.
